DESCRIPTION //
On June 6, as Ecosistemica we took part in BEYOND 2025: Being Many, an international event in Turin co-hosted by Culture Action Europe along with Fondazione Fitzcarraldo and Club Silencio.
We were hosted in two parallel sessions from 11:00 to 13:00:
- Panel | Democracy: Plural Governance, with Martina Beria & Daniele Bucci at Cecchi Point – Casa del Quartiere di Aurora;
- Workshop | Effective and Equitable Organising: Introduction to Sociocracy, led by Thomas Kemps and myself at Via Baltea.
In our workshop, we introduced the principles and tools of sociocracy (“peer rule”), an organisational model designed to foster collaboration, equity, and effectiveness.
This experiential session delved into key elements such as purpose-driven, nested circle structures, consent-based decision-making, and continuous evolution through feedback. In particular, participants engaged in a hands-on activity to practice making decisions by consent, aiming for agreements that are “good enough for now and safe enough to try”.
