In May 2024, in partnership with Slow Food Italia and Common Ground, we designed, led, and facilitated a three-day workshop for the development of the Slow Food Youth Network manifesto. The workshop was part of the “Anteprima Terra Madre” event and brought together 120 young participants, supported by four teams of facilitators.
Throughout the workshop, we collected and digitalized 1274 post-its containing ideas, reflections, and proposals. This rich collection of input was carefully organized into a database to capture the full range of voices and contributions from all participants.
Given the depth and complexity of the material, we employed a collaborative synthesis process enhanced by artificial intelligence to make sense of the data. This allowed us to develop the first version of the Slow Food Youth Network manifesto — a document shaped directly by the energy and insights of its community.
