DESCRIPTION //
In order to understand contemporary forms of life, it is necessary to comprehend how imagination works, both as a process through which the relationship between human beings and their environment is developed, and as a creation of aesthetical and technical objects.
This conference aimed to explore and investigate how imagination works in our contemporary world, how it expands and articulates itself. This work of the imagination can be understood following different meanings: imagination as a creative process of forms of life; imagination as production of forms and formats of images and narration (starting from cinema); imagination as the extension of mind into artificial protheses (artistic, technological, etc.)
Imagination, thus, opens up a wide field of objects and and experimental forms that can be fruitfully understood within the convergence of aesthetics and the cinema and media studies.
